MN Wild bring Faceoff For Fitness to Meadowview Elementary

On Thursday, February 29, representatives from the Minnesota Wild visited Meadowview Elementary for a Faceoff for Fitness assembly. Students in grades 3-5 received a visit from Nordy, the Minnesota Wild mascot; Stephane Veilleux, who played over 500 games for the Wild over 9 seasons; and Gabby Billing, a Division 1 women's hockey player for Dartmouth and University of St. Thomas and current player for the USA Women’s Bandy team.

All-State Choir
Congratulations to FHS All-State Musicians!

Eleven Farmington High School band and choir students recently performed in Orchestra Hall as the culmination of the Minnesota All-State Program. Sponsored by the Minnesota Music Educators Association, All-State is the highest honor bestowed upon a high school music student. In addition to their performance at Orchestra Hall, over the summer the All-State students took part in a week-long camp focused on developing their music skills. The instrumentalists were at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and the vocalists were at St. John's University in Collegeville, MN.

Farmington Elementary Hosts 5th Grade Career Fair

On January 5th, Farmington Elementary School hosted the ISD 192 5th Grade Career Fair for the twelfth year. This event is organized and executed by the elementary and middle school counselors. Megan Sowieja, the School Counselor at FES, shared: "This is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn about all things possible."
