Minnesota Youth Reading Awards- MYRA

LINK TO PAST NOMINEES and WINNERS

Each year, students across Minnesota, in grades 3-5 and grades 6-8, read and vote on their favorite books. One book from each age division will be chosen as the Minnesota Student Favorite book of the year.
Riverview Students who choose, have three ways to celebrate MYRA!
1.  Students can read 3 of the nominees between June and March of the current, then vote on their one favorite.
2.  Students can join with 3 friends to make a four-person team.  The team divides the 10 books and reads them all, then participates in the Riverview Book Olympics in May.  Dog-tag medals are awards for 1st-3rd places.
3.  Students can challenge themselves to read 12 (the 10 current nominees + 2 titles from previous years that the challenger has not read) books.  Students that meet the challenge earn an "I Conquered It! Medal and an iTunes Gift Card (provided by our PTP!).
